John J. Halling Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 5, 2025, at the age of 94, John J. Halling of Denton, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard L. and Julia Halling (Horsch); and his siblings, Irene Halling, Lucille Haupt, Adelaide Walters, Annie Cipriano, Betty Johnson, Bernard, Peter, Robert, Luke and Joseph Halling.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Halling; and his children, Tom Halling (Leisa) of Denton, KS, Philip Halling (Jane) of Lancaster, KS, Mary Ann Massey (Melvin) of Denton, KS, Laura Bell (Tony) of Marion, AR and Angela Zepeda (Joe) of El Dorado, KS. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren.
A rosary will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home (208 N 5th St, Atchison, KS 66002). Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Arensberg Pruett Funeral Home (208 N 5th St, Atchison, KS 66002). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Louis Church (11321 Morton Rd, Atchison, KS 66002). A burial will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at the same location.
