He was predeceased by: his wife Pat Cotton; his sons, Lonnie Abbott and Barrie Cotton; his parents, Oscar Cotton and Cornelia Cotton; and his siblings, Glenn Cotton and Delwin Cotton Sr..
He is survived by: his children, Butch Abbott and Pamela Nevergall; his daughters-in-law, Carolyn Abbott and Billie Cotton; and his siblings, Dwaine Cotton (Kathy), Dale Cotton (LaVonda), Darla Rowe, Dwight Cotton (Kathy), Diann Miller and Debbie Carter. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.
