Gary D. Latimer Obituary

Gary touched many lives and will be remembered fondly for the moments shared and the memories created. Family, friends, and colleagues extend their love and support during this time. While Gary’s presence will be missed, the influence he had on others will remain. Those who knew him will carry forward memories that reflect his character and spirit.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen A. Latimer and Grace M. Latimer (McClatchey); his spouse Jean Fahler; his siblings, Boyd Curtis Latimer and Sandra Kay Knight; and his daughter Linda.
He is survived by: his children, Kathryn Williams of Topeka, KS and Kent Latimer of McPherson, KS; and his sister Carole Irelan of Marionville, MO. He is also survived by six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (1400 N Main St, McPherson, KS 67460).
