Ida leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Ida’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Ida will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her son Duane Mitchell. She is survived by: her sister Betty Shockley; her grandson Chris Mitchell (Nathan Prothro); and her great grandchild Neaveh Prothro. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Smith Family Mortuary (1415 N Rock Rd, Derby, KS 67037).
