It is with sadness that the passing of Richard Wayne Lane of Derby, Kansas is shared. Richard, born on May 3, 1950, passed away on August 16, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents-in-law, Mel and Ardelia Ferris; and his sister-in-law Catherine "Cathy" Creighton. He is survived by: his wife Becky; his son Matt (Amber Lane) of Lawrence; his grandchildren, Grace, Alvin and Lily; his son Ryan Lane; his granddaughter Violette; his daughter Jessica (Jason Ohman); his granddaughters, Corinne and Celia of Andover; his son Mark (Kerry Majher); his grandchildren, Mira, Cassia and Bellamy of Derby; his brother David (Patrica Lane) of North Carolina; his cousins, Bill (Linda Noss) of Woodstock, Georgia and Cheri (Mack Hagewood) of Panama; and his extended family, Jim (Kathy Ferris) of Ames, Jean (Richard "Dick" Phillips) of Arkansas City, Floyd (Rosena Ferris) of Derby and Robert (Kathleen Ferris) of Harrah, Oklahoma. He is also survived by other cousins, nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials to the First Presbyterian Church of Derby.
