He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Molhoek and Viola Molhoek; and his granddaughter Haddie Molhoek. He is survived by: his wife Carla; his children, Mindy McGonigal (Troy), Jake Molhoek (Michele), Zach Molhoek (Jessica), Colette Greene (Jason Flores), Mason Greene (Caitlin) and Brooke Hebert (Doug); and his siblings, Jack Molhoek (Ronda) and Becky Stevens (Wayne).

A memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Hospice, 313 S Market, Wichita, KS 67202.
