He was predeceased by: his parents, Zena Pitts (Lightfoot) and Lauren Pitts. He is survived by: his children, Shirley Cox (James) of Gardner, Kansas. and Michael Pitts (Karen) of Lawrence; his grandchildren, Russ Pitts (Carrie) of Wellsville, Kansas., Abby Cox, Cooper Cox, Ruby Goss, Mandy VanGordon, Thomas Parish, Dominic Pitts, Dalton Pitts and Bayleigh Fries; his wife Sue Pitts; and his siblings, Marie Arlene Hill (Burt Hill), James Pitts (Patricia Pitts) and Freda Haney (Edgar Haney).
