She was predeceased by : her parents, William Barker Hunsley and Sarah Grace Hunsley (Losey); her husband Howard Burnett; her former life partner Walter Horn; her granddaughter Brenda Martindale; her daughter-in-law Jo Ann Burnett; and her siblings, Fanny Schultz, Lori Metzger, Thomas Fern Hunsley, William Barker Hunsley, Lilian Mary Hunsley Burnett, Albert Joseph Hunsley and Dr. Perry Uriah Hunsley.

She is survived by : her grandsons, Michael Martindale (Belinda) and Michael Cabbage. She is also survived by two great-grandsons, three great-great-granddaughters, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Boomhower Funeral Home (145 N Wichita Ave, Dighton, KS 67839). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the First Christian Church (210 S Lane St, Dighton, KS 67839).

The family suggests memorial contributions to Lane County Historical Society or the JOY Center both in care of Boomhower Funeral Home.
