It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Twila J. Shapland of Dighton, Kansas, who passed away on August 22, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cleo Kirkendall and Laura Dean Kirkendall (Edmundson); and her husband Duane "Sam" Shapland. She is survived by: her children, Gina (Roger Reed), Kirk (Tala Shapland) of Dighton and Cory Shapland of Dighton; her grandchildren, Lexie Reed, Abby, Dalton Doom, Ethan Shapland and Samantha Shapland; and her son Elliot Shapland.
Memorials are suggested to United Methodist Church or Lane County Hospital in care of Boomhower Funeral Home.
