We announce the death of Bruce C. Champlin (Dodge City, Kansas), who passed away on August 1, 2026, at the age of 90. Bruce will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert O. Champlin and Mildred L. Champlin (Huber); his siblings, Ivona Kemp (Champlin), Robert Champlin, Ronald (Susan Champlin), Keith (Jane Christensen), Loren Christensen and Damon Christensen; and his son Bruce Bradley.
He is survived by: his wife Margie Staggs; his former wife Natalia; his children, Rhonda Rossi (Marc), Dirk and Cyd Stein (Christopher); and his stepchildren, Denise Brown (Tyler), Kristi Flax (Dennis), Mickie Lara (Jeff) and Michael Staggs (Amy). He is also survived by grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.
In honor of Bruce's love for animals especially his beloved cat, Poppy, memorial contributions may be made to the Dodge City Animal Shelter or the Ford County Humane Society in care of Swaim Funeral Home, 1901 6th Avenue, Dodge City, KS.
