We announce the death of David M. Schoepf of Dodge City, Kansas, born in Garden City, Kansas, who passed away on September 28, 2026, at the age of 70. David will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. David will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. David’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, L. K. Schoepf and Helen Schoepf (Schull); and his stepson Joshua Vukovinsky. He is survived by: his wife Lisa Schoepf of Greeley, CO; his stepson David Penland of Cheyenne, WY; and his siblings, Douglas Schoepf of Dodge City, KS, Barbra Soza of Wichita, KS and Alice Gonzales of Dodge City, KS. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Swaim Funeral Chapel (1901 6th Ave, Dodge City, KS 67801).
