He was predeceased by: his mother Nellie Manuela Sanchez. He is survived by: his wife Mary Alvarez (Falcon); his sons, John Alvarez (Joy Evelyn) of Kansas City, Missouri and David Alvarez (Genny) of Wamego; his grandchildren, Aaron Cole Alvarez, Adrian Josiah Alvarez and Brittany Miller; and his brothers, Felix Sanchez (Nina), Jerry Sanchez (Linda), Henry Sanchez, Carlos Sanchez and Fred Sanchez (Janet). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Swaim Funeral Chapel. A rosary will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Memorial donations can be made to Sacred Heart School Building Fund in care of the funeral home.
