We announce the death of Stephen Craig Michael Sr. in Dodge City, Kansas, who passed away on September 14, 2026, at the age of 72. Stephen will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Michael and Sharon Michael (Pierce); and his sister Tommi. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Michael of Minneola; his children, Heather Michael, Nicole Michael and Stephen Michael, Jr.; his stepchildren, Joy Renteria and Kevin Michael; and his siblings, Rexan, Tammy, Kevin, Billy, Theresa and Cheryl. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Swaim Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Swaim Funeral Chapel of Dodge City.
Memorial donations can be made to the Stephen Michael Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
