Viola M. Lopez Obituary
We bid farewell to Viola M. Lopez (Dodge City, Kansas), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 8, 2025 at the age of 90. Viola touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Victor Martinez and Louise Martinez (Rodriguez); her husband Joseph "Joe" Lopez; her sons, Larry and Michael Lopez; and her sister Dorothy Miranto.
She is survived by: her children, Jeff Lopez (Becky) of Dodge City, Marilyn Treto (Rudy) of Dodge City, Rosemary Lopez of Dodge City and JoAnn Steinert of Dodge City; and her siblings, James Martinez, Daniel DeHerrera, Manuel DeHerrera, Rosemary Sandoval and Amerie Sanchez. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Ziegler Funeral Chapel (1901 N 14th Ave, Dodge City, KS 67801). A vigil service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe (3231 N 14th Ave, Dodge City, KS 67801). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
