He was predeceased by : his parents, Hobert Dwayne Hicks and Celia Francis Taylor; and his siblings, David Adams, Hobert O. Hicks, Robert D. Hicks and Bonnie Sims.

He is survived by : his daughters, Shawn Hopkins (Sean) and Michelle Peterson (Brian); the mother of his children Sidney Hicks; and his brothers, Charlie Adams (Kristine), Karl Skinner and Donald L. Hicks.
