He was predeceased by: his father Ted Brown; his wife Doris F. Brown; his parent Hester Shrable-Brown (Shrable) of Vidette, AR; his sisters, Chloe McCandlis of Snohomish, WA and Elsie Pyeatt of Mountain Home, AR; and his stepdaughter Karen Burris of Las Vegas, NV.

He is survived by: his stepson Marvin Russell; his nephew Richard Pyeatt (Marianne); his nieces, Rhonda Pyeatt (Jim Douglas), Brenda Metcalf and Tammie Condery (Jeff); and his sisters-in-law, Mary Anne Braungardt, Ruth Dennett (Carl) and Margaret Williard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
