He was predeceased by: his parents, John Michel and Hilda Michel (Rein); his siblings, Jane Monk and Robert "Bob" Michel; and his son-in-law Daniel "Dan" Worley.
He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Larry Michel (Jennifer) of Salina, KS, Lynette Engelken (Bradley) of Overland Park, KS and Lisette Worley of Osborne, KS; his grandchildren, Kelsey Clark (Andrew), Raegan Shamburg (Phillip), Madison Bliss (Bobby), Laurel Driskell (Alex), Jeffrey Michel (Allie), James Michel (Ashley), Kyle Engelken (Tiffany), Mason Engelken and Samuel Engelken; his siblings, Jerry, Betty and Sarah; and his great grandchildren, Reid, Noah, Maci, Harlyne, Olson, Asher, Mia, Hudson and Daphne. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Downs United Methodist Church (1000 Morgan Ave, Downs, KS 67437). The inurnment will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Downs Cemetery (345 W 40th Dr, Downs, KS 67437).
