She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert A. Zeit and Merle Zeit (Douglas); and her sister Doris Whaley. She is survived by: her sons, Mark Hurst (Sharon) of Everest, KS and Ted Hurst (Lisa) of Effingham, KS.; her grandchildren, Dustin Hurst, Tyler Hurst (Rebekah), Maggie, John Earl, Brooke Hurst and Jeanie Hooper (Ben); her great grandchild Carlee Hurst; her close friend Martin Smith of Effingham, KS.; her husband Gene; her son Genie Hurst; and her siblings, Gene, Charles, Richard, Jerry Zeit and Pat Pruett.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society, St. Ann's Catholic Church, St. Louis Church or the NEKS Hospice and may be sent in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home who is handling the arrangements.
