With sadness, we share the passing of Michael C. Kelly of Effingham, Kansas. Michael, born on January 25, 1954, passed away on August 30, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Kelly and Mildred Kelly (Haverkamp); and his brothers, Edward and Timothy Kelly. He is survived by: his wife Denise Morgan; his daughters, Bridgett Kelly of Dallas, TX and Amber Kelly; his siblings, James P. Kelly (Diane), Janet Sandridge of Alvin, TX and Colleen Mantey (Gary) of Mission Viejo, CA; and his nieces and nephews, Gavin Mantey (LeeAnn), Derek Mantey, Chelsea, Nicholas and Katelyn Sandridge.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home (524 Pennsylvania Ave, Holton, KS 66436).
The family asks that memorial gifts be directed to the Jerry A. Shields, MD Eye Cancer Foundation or the Atchison County Fair Board and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
