We announce the death of Jim Henry DeWitt of El Dorado, Kansas, who passed away on September 14, 2026, at the age of 80. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim DeWitt and Dora DeWitt (Maggard); and his brothers, LeRoy and Frank. He is survived by: his wife Sheri; his daughters, Debra Babcock (Jason), Samantha McAnally (Mark) and Iva Sawyer; his grandchildren, Yzabell Babcock, Elyzabeth Babcock, Kayli McAnally, Marque McAnally, Ivanna Lewis (DeWitt), Braiden Lewis, Ivenna Sawyer, Savanna Howard (Sawyer) and Patrick Howard; his great grandchildren, Jaelynn Hanson, Liam Nixon, Kinlee Nixon and Vincent McAnally; his grandchild Extended; his great grandchildren, Thomas Goodall, Gabrellia Goodall and Cheyenne Goodall; and his children, Dora, Charley, Gypsy and Billy. He is also survived by his family and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home (206 E Central Ave, El Dorado, KS 67042). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Blankenship Cemetery (2903 SE Flinthills Rd, Rosalia, KS 67132).
