He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Louis Tompkins and Bertha Katherine Wittig; his brothers, Bob Snow and Gene Snow; and his brother-in-law Paul Petty.
He is survived by: his wife Colette Tompkins (McAllister) of El Dorado; his children, Kelly Spencer (James) of Elberta, Andra Tompkins (Jordan Sharpsteen) of El Dorado and John Tompkins of El Dorado; his grandchildren, Noah, Nathan Spencer, Tajah Tuder, Dane Sharpsteen and Slade Sharpsteen; and his sisters, Barbara Clure (Jim) of Shawnee, Kathy O'Mara (Gene) of Emporia and Darlene Andrews (Butch) of El Dorado. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
