She was predeceased by: her parents, Estella Thompson (Buck) and William J. Thompson; her daughter Marcelline Kay Szymanski; her husband Chester Szymanski; and her siblings, Yvonne Suthard, Derald Thompson, James Thompson, Bill Thompson and Loren Thompson.
She is survived by: her niece Tobey Johnson; her sister Myrtle Travnichek; and her son-in-law Harry Fukuda.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Carlson Colonial Funeral Home (200 S Star St, El Dorado, KS 67042). A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Walnut Valley Memorial Park (725 Boyer Rd, El Dorado, KS 67042). A burial will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
