He was predeceased by : his parents, Hurgle Burtin and Bessie Evans Burtin; his sister Maye Friedlan; and his son-in-law Russ Denton. He is survived by : his wife Jane Doornbos; his children, Dana Noffsinger (Steve), Lynda Denton and Brent Burtin (Terri); and his siblings, Melvin Burtin of Colorado, Martin Burtin of Eureka and Marilyn Massey of Eureka. He is also survived by 3 grandsons; 5 granddaughters; 4 great grandsons; 2 great granddaughters and many other family and friends.
