It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Ketchum of Elkhart, Kansas, born in Lakin, Kansas, who passed away on June 13, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Rust and Zelma Rust (Barber); her son Allan Charles; her husband J. L. Ketchum (Charles); and her children-in-law, Clint Thomason and Barbara Davis.
She is survived by: her children, Paul William of Hutchinson, Kansas, Kendra Thomason of Elkhart and Taunya Jill Johnson (Roger) of Overland Park, Kansas; her siblings, Peggy Lyons of Rochester, Donna Sanders of Bellingham, Washington and John Rust (JoAnn) of Cody, Wyoming; her grandchildren, Reid Thomason (Tiffany) of Arvada, Kenzie Thomason of Kansas City, Michelle Schrag (Grady) of Inman and Wayne Thomason of Elkhart, Kansas; and her great grandchildren, Lincoln, Elyse Thomason of Arvada, Devin Wiens, Keegan Schrag of Hutchinson and Kellen Schrag of Inman, Kansas. She is also survived by four great-great-grandchildren.
