Joe Day Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Day in Ellis, Kansas, who passed away on April 3, 2026, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville "Jim" and Adeline (Kinderknecht); his siblings, Leonard Day, Tom Kinderknecht and Mary Day; and his brother-in-law Dennis Bollig.

He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Chris Smith (Connie) of Ellis, KS, Brandie Rush (Todd) of Wichita, KS, Ryan Day of Tucson, AZ and Kassie Day of Downs, KS.; his grandchildren, Brandon Rush (Leslie), Miles and Avery Day of Hays, KS.; his sister Kristine Bollig of Hays, KS; and his brother-in-law Garrison Clarke Chicago (Sebastian).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ellis Good Samaritan.
