With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Helget of Ellis, Kansas, who passed away on March 26, 2026 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Helget and Marie Helget (Neuberger); his wife Cheryl Duell; and his siblings, Larry Helget, Evelyn "Punkie" Erbert and Judy Helget.
He is survived by: his children, Marty Helget of Wichita, Jordan Helget (Chelsea) of Tucson, Arizona and Paige Helget of Oakley, Kansas; his grandchildren, Henry Helget of Wichita, Cana and Sam Campbell of Oakley; and his mother-in-law Virginia Duell of Ellis.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Ellis VFW or the Kansas Soldiers' Home.
