He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Choitz and Dorothea Choitz; and his siblings, Edward, Lawrence, Norman, Gilbert, George, Harry, Frank, Carl, Mabel Anschutz and Ruth Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene Meier Choitz of Ellsworth; his daughters, Cindy Bruning (Keith) of Ellsworth and Karen Paull (Sam) of Kanopolis, KS; his grandchildren, Stacy Anderson (Eric) of Ellsworth, Brett Bruning (Kathryn) of Wamego, KS, Tricia Mitchell (Daniel) of McPherson, KS, Darci Paull of Manhattan, KS, Andrew Paull (Lacy) of Arlington, CO and Gabriel Paull (Olivia) of Lenexa, KS; his great grandchildren, Tyler Lamb (Brook), Alyssa Wood (Greyson), Tori Lamb, Brendan, Makenna Anderson, Finnley, Sienna Bruning, Waylon, Dakota Mitchell, Lowell, Cortland Paull and Nora Paull; his great great grandchild Myles; and his brother Ralph Choitz (Evelyn) of Ellsworth.
