He is survived by: his parents, Kermit Rush and Darlene Rush (Handlin); his wife Fonda Shively of Geneseo; his sons, Brian Rush (Tara) of Geneseo and Justin Rush (Michaela) of Lenexa, KS; his grandchildren, Ethan Steinbruck (Latasha), Breckyn, Kaine, Kale Rush, Maya and Marley Rush; his great grandchildren, Becklyn, Lorelai and Luke; his sisters, Dana Sutton of Slinger, WI, Beth Wagner of Ellsworth and Tracy Wacker (Todd) of Ellsworth; and his brother-in-law Leslie Shively of Kanopolis. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
