With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lorene Ann Barta of Ellsworth, Kansas, who passed away on March 1, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, John A. Svoboda and Emma Svoboda (Kyler); her husband Kenneth Ray Barta; her son Larry Barta; her grandsons, Matthew and Ty Lawrence Barta; and her sister Velma Paull.

She is survived by : her children, Gary Barta of Ellsworth and Cathy Soukup (Jerry) of Ellsworth; and her daughter-in-law Ellen Fulton Barta of Virginia Beach, VA. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Bernard's Catholic Church or Ellsworth County Cancer Fund, c/o, Parsons Funeral Home, PO Box 45, Ellsworth, KS 67439.
