We are sad to announce that on July 11, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Sondra J. Carter of Elwood, Kansas. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Sondra is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Sondra's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilber Simmons and P. Ferne Simmons (Trotter). She is survived by: her daughters, Penny Muller, Julie Pohl (Darrell) and Gina Carter (Gary Minor); and her brother Danny Simmons (Ramona). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home (310 Fremont St, Wathena, KS 66090). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
