JoAnn Marie (Hare) DeVader Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JoAnn Marie (Hare) DeVader of Emmett, Kansas, born in Neodesha, Kansas, who passed away on December 14, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Carol D. Hare (Johnson); her brother Walter Phillips; her father LeRoy Hare, Sr.; her sister Lori Guffey; and her nephew Joseph Hare.
She is survived by: her husband Greg DeVader; her children, Clint DeVader, Jenna Peters and Whitney Long (Keith); her grandchildren, Alex, Dannielle Peters, Jada DeVader, Colton, Wesley and Lillian Long; her great grandchild Ivy Miller; her stepmother Frances Criger; and her siblings, Sondra Jones (Mick), LeRoy Hare Jr. and Steve Hare (Dorothy).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Piper Funeral Home (714 Maple St, St Marys, KS 66536). A Mass will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (208 W Bertrand Ave, St Marys, KS 66536). A burial will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at the Holy Cross Cemetery.
