We are sad to announce that on July 17, 2025, at the age of 79, Dale Eugene Shane of Emporia, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Dale Eugene departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Dale Eugene. Though Dale Eugene may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman George Shane and Lola Marie Heintz Shane. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Helums-Shane; his son Shawn Allen Shane of Emporia; his granddaughters, Kassidee Shane of Branson, Missouri and Kaela Shane of Branson, Missouri; and his siblings, Norma Underwood of Chandler, Arizona, Marvin Shane (D. L.) of Larned, Kansas and Elaine Salmans (Craig) of Larned, Kansas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home (605 State St, Emporia, KS 66801). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be given to Arab Shrine Travel Fund or the Prairie Paws Animal Shelter in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
