He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter John and Faye Ellen Phillips Harding; and his siblings, June Murphy, Clyde and Galen Harding.

He is survived by: his wife Marie Harding; his children, David Harding (Kaari) of Emporia and Michelle Harding (Steve Reedy) of Plano, Texas; his grandchildren, Allison Harding (Jon Jensen) of Manhattan, Adam Harding of Emporia and Kaylee Wellman of Emporia; his brother Wendell Harding (Mary) of Tula Rosa; and his sisters-in-law, Sally Barnett (Larry) of Lawrence and Denise Hahnstadt of Missoula, Montana. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church Food Pantry, or to Emporia High School Spartan Spot for food for the students.
