It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Rife of Eudora, Kansas, who passed away on September 15, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Rife and Bertha Rife (Piercy); his sisters, Sibyl Dunn, Lois Lewis, Georgia Wisehart, Erma McNeil and Eunice Rife; and his sons-in-law, Joe Holenbeck and Nick Spears.
He is survived by: his sister Claudine Barnett of Rogers, Arkansas.; his sisters-in-law, Vivian Schwab of Clay Center, KS. and Eva Schwab of Clifton, KS; his sibling's children, Steve (Cheryl Rife) of Eudora and Helen Holenbeck of Alma; his great-niece Paula Spears of Grove, Oklahoma.; his grandchildren, Jeanette Spears Gaylord, Paul Spears, Mary Spears Landon (Brian), Travis Rife (Jo) and Kacie Olson (Travis); his great grandchildren, Kayla James, Nicolas Spears, Marissa Shaver (Zane), Garrett Spears, Briana Landon, Twyla Landon, Jaquita Rife, Phillip Rife, Tyler Olson, Kali Olson and Tommy Olson; his great great grandchildren, Raylee Hurlbert, Maliah Shaver, Maci Ehlers, Boone Shaver, Brooks Rathmann and Drew Ehlers; and his sibling's children, Paul Spears, Travis Rife, Nicolas Spears, Daniel Schwab, Matthew Schwab, Aaron Crowl, Boone Shaver, Tommy Olson, Tyler Olson, Garrett Spears, Jackson Crowl and Bradley Schwab.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center (918 7th St, Clay Center, KS 67432). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
