Jeff Casten wrote a sympathy message

“I am so sorry to hear about George's passing. He was kind of a mentor to me, in all of our sports activities at Quenemo High school. He was a very good athlete. I enjoyed playing with him on several teams. He really had a great sense of humor, always joking with someone. Back then, I didn't know what a mentor was, but now I do. Great person, will miss him. Jeff Casten (QHS class of 1968)”
