He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kurtz and Reta Kurtz; his brother Emmet Kurtz; his son Larry Lee Kurtz; and his son-in-law Chuck Busch.
He is survived by: his wife Dixie; his daughters, Gina and Shirley (Joe); and his sister Donna. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces/nephews.
