He was predeceased by: his parents, Everette Young and Elva Young (Walls); his brothers, Lawrence Young and Charles Young; his wife Shirley; his stepfather Cecil Smock; his son-in-law Russ Cloon; and his grandson Aden Huggins.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta Young of Centropolis, KS; his children, Diana Johnson (Jim) of Pomona, KS, Denise Cloon of Baldwin City, KS, Sandra McDaniel (Lonnie) of Edmond, OK and Scott Young (Laura) of Ottawa, KS; his brothers, Darrel Young of Baldwin City, KS and Donald Young of Lawrence, KS; his grandchildren, Jimmie Jr., Marcie, Russell, Kyle, Jake, Clay, Zane and Wade; and his great grandchildren, Beau, Gwen, Taylar, Andy, Kaia, Lexi, Iva and River.
