He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward Kendall and Hazel Bernice McDonald (Guisinger); his grandchildren, Mat McDonald and Kayla McDonald; and his siblings, Danny Lee McDonald and Shelia Ann Gibson.

He is survived by : his wife Carolyn Sue Boone of Neal; his sons, Michael Edward (Melita McDonald) of Grove, Oklahoma and Craig Alan (Lisa McDonald) of Eureka; and his brother Charles R. McDonald of Arkansas City. He is also survived by four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Eureka or to the American Cancer Society.
