He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Dunning and Marie Dunning (Manny); Dolores Dunning of Fort Worth, TX. He is survived by: his wife Debra Dunning (Lane) of El Dorado, KS; his sister Nadine Dunning (Kerry Blue) of Albuquerque, NM.; Leon Dunning, Earl, Geraldine Dunning of Arlington, TX, Duane, Joan Dunning of Charleston, SC, Glenn, Joanne Dunning of Martinsville, VA, Craig, Tammy Dunning of Lawrence, KS, Kent and Michelle Dunning of Trinidad, CO. He is also survived by six brothers and one sister.

Dale was an avid supporter of his community in Eureka, sponsoring rodeo events and donating a historic schoolhouse to the community, to name just a few.
