It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Karen Louise Watson of Eureka, Kansas, born in Caney, Kansas, who passed away on September 9, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Howard Kennedy and Mariam Kennedy (Wagner). She is survived by : her husband Bill Dean Watson; her children, James (Nancy Watson) of Eureka, Brian (Kristin Watson) of Abingdon, Maryland and Jennifer (Matthew Peterson) of Clay Center; and her brother Howard Kennedy, Jr.. She is also survived by five grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
