He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Ray Sr. and Bessie Irene Abbey (Moad); his wife Mary Louise Maspero; and his sister Bonita Greene. He is survived by: his children, Mary (Bernard Hesse) of Yates Center, Kansas, Leonard Ray Abbey, III of Claremore, Oklahoma and Stuart (Kimberly Abbey) of Columbus, Kansas; his siblings, Darlene (Jerry Lemen) of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Calvin Abbey of Worland, Wyoming; and his half-sisters, Marjorie Fink of Leavenworth and Peggy Perrion of Easton, Kansas.. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
