He was predeceased by : his parents, Victor Cooley, Sr. and Marguerite Cecelia Delepine (Gallagher); and his sisters, Cecelia and Judy. He is survived by : his wife Dorothy Darlene Ward (Rice); his stepson Nick (Brenda Ward) of Neal; his stepgrandchildren, Tara Hughes and Ryan Hughes; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Karlie, Hagen and Kaden; and his siblings, Danny of Washington, Mike of Japan, Mary of Washington, Rodger of Washington, Janee, John of Texas and Tammy of Oregon.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church or to the Greenwood County Hospital Foundation.
