He was predeceased by: his brother John Spangler; his sister-in-law Jane Spangler; and his nephew Kirby Spangler. He is survived by: his wife Carol Jean Keim; his son Shane; his brothers, Lee Spangler (Janet) of Phoenix and Wayne Spangler of Scottsdale, Arizona; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Spangler of Everest, Kansas and John Keim (Joann) of Fairview. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews; and his many friends.
