In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Marlene Kay had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Marlene Kay may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman H. Diedrich and Ina Diedrich (Fuqua); and her granddaughter Casey Stohs. She is survived by: her husband Kevin Smith; her daughters, Regina Jameson (Steve) of Columbus, KS, Starla Parsons (Mike) of Pittsburg, KS and Dawn Haase (Kurt) of Oronogo, MO; and her siblings, Sandy Schaper of Junction City, KS, Brenda Picolet (Charley) of Dwight, KS and Joedy Diedrich. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (106 N Western Ave, Girard, KS 66743).
