He is survived by: his pet Jamie; his partner Dayla Nelson; his former wife Karen Louise Welty; his daughter Lisa Ann Fields; his son-in-law Ryan P. Fields; his grandchildren, Christian R. Dibben (Katie) of Haysville, Kansas, Amber Stetler and Jessica Stetler; his stepgrandson Ian Melte; his cousin Darlene Rabe of Shattuck, Oklahoma; his half-siblings, Teresa Homesly of Edmond, Oklahoma, Chip Welty of Toledo and Danny Quick of Lake Suzy, Florida.; and his nieces, Kara and Kayla Quick of Florida.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas and Good Shepherd Hospice, in Newton, Kansas.
