He was predeceased by: his parents, Marjorie Alice Lewis (Singmaster) and Marvin Singleton Lewis; his wife Ruth Ann Lewis (Huckaby); and his siblings, Marvin Jr., Ronald and Jerry Lewis.
He is survived by: his children, David Lewis (Carole) and Lisa Jackson (Robbie); his grandchildren, Taelor Lewis, Madeleine, Katherine and Sofe Lewis; his great grandchildren, Declan, Haze Hawn (Deb Sailors), Joe Sailors (Mary), Savannah and Olivia; his sister Beverly Peel; his siblings-in-law, Leah Lewis, Kitty Lewis and Sam Huckaby; and also, Jeff Sailors (Megan), Sam, Max and Lexi.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home (15 W Wall St, Fort Scott, KS 66701). A burial will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 11:15 AM to 12:00 PM at the Memory Gardens Cemetery (2193 Indian Rd, Fort Scott, KS 66701).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Care to Share, a local cancer support group that was dear to Bill's heart. Memorial contributions may be left in the care of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, 15 W. Wall Street, P.O. Box 309, Fort Scott, KS, 66701.
