With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jo Ann Thomas of Fort Scott, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 27, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Oscar Sapp; her husband Hubert Owen Thomas; her mother Gladys "Jimmie" Sapp; her grandsons, Nathanial Wright and Hunter Thomas; and her daughter-in-law Nong Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Gregory Thomas, Elizabeth Wright (Joe) and Natalie Snyder (John); her grandchildren, Bart Wright (Nicole), Nicholas Thomas (Chelsea), Drew Wright (Hannah), Zachary Snyder (Stevie), Lucas Snyder, Ella Snyder and Thanya Brown-Thomas; her great grandchildren, Raelynn Wright, Sofia Thomas, Brooks Wright and Ellison Thomas; and her sister Bobbi Kemna.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jo Ann Thomas Memorial Nursing Scholarship in care of Cheney Witt.
