He is survived by: his wife Christie (Borggren); his children, Jennifer Thurston (Justin) of Fort Scott, Kansas, Mary Larsen (Chris) of Fort Scott, Kansas and Ian Sackett of Sierra Vista, Arizona.; his siblings, Jim (Gayle) of Fort Scott, Jane Burgess (Bob) of Ponca City, OK and Judy Wilmoth (Jerry) of Webb City, MO.; his grandchildren, Jordan of Fort Scott, KS, Madi of Fort Scott, KS, Emily of Fort Scott, KS, Ryann of Fort Scott, KS, Sarina of Fort Scott, KS, Owen of Fort Scott, KS and Chance of Fort Scott, KS; and his godchildren, Deklan, Dawsen and Kynleigh Moore.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cheney Witt Chapel (201 S Main St, Fort Scott, KS 66701). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
