With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Katherine Elizabeth Guss of Fort Scott, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 23, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Roy Stewart and Mary W. Wolf Stewart; her husband Vernon Lee Guss; her children, Mary Ann Martin and Ronald Eugene Guss; and her siblings, Clinton Stewart and Debbie Stewart.

She is survived by : her children, Stewart (Carla), Bruce Guss, Roy Guss and Elaine Guss; and her siblings, Alan Stewart (Charlotte), Bonnie Stewart, Darlene Stewart and Serena McAnulty. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cheney Witt Chapel (201 S Main St, Fort Scott, KS 66701). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Grace Baptist Family Life Center (502 S Margrave St, Fort Scott, KS 66701).
