He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Starkey and Priscilla Starkey; and his sister Cynthia Schoeck. He is survived by: his wife Tammy; his children, Jean Koontz (Andrew) and Christopher Starkey (Jennifer); and his grandchildren, Sage, Andi of Audrey, CJ and Stella.
His charity was American Diabetes and Central Community church.
